Government Extends GST Returns for Taxpayers Affected by Hurricanes

The government has postponed to December 20 summary sales declarations of the GST from October to December 20 for taxpayers affected by the hurricane in Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.

For taxpayers headquartered in Srikakulam District, Andhra Pradesh, the GSTR-3B filing deadline for the months of September and October has been extended to November 30, 2018.

Taxpayers whose principal place of business is located in the 11 specified districts of Tamil Nadu, the GSTR-3B for the month of October must be filed no later than December 20th.

The last day of the filing of the GSTR -3B is the 20th of the following month.

Taxpayers with a turnover in excess of 1.5 crore and headquartered in Srikakulam District, Andhra Pradesh, final sales declarations or GSTR-1 for September and October shall be be submitted by 30 November at the latest.

Taxpayers with a turnover in excess of 1.5 crore and headquartered in the 11 districts of Tamil Nadu, may file GSTR-1 for October before 20 October 2018.

Taxpayers with a total turnover of less than 1.5 crore and headquartered in Srikakulam district of Andhra Pradesh, GSTR 1 must be filed by 30 November.
