The final competition was between Aftab Singh, Diwakar Sharma, Sanjay Satheesh and Abhisheh. And that is Abhishek Saraph who was eliminated first with 76% of the vote, which left him disappointed. Diwakar Sharma was the top scorer in the first round with 91% of the votes when he sang Bulleya, while Sanjay Satheesh was tied with Aftab Singh, both with 90% of the vote. The judges decided to let the three players go to the next round.

For the final round, Diwakar sang Ramta Jogi and garnered 82% of the votes while Sanjay sang Jhoom Barabar Jhoom and got 76% of the votes and had to leave the show. Aftab was under pressure because he had to score more than 82% to win the show. However, he sang Tharki Chokro, got 89% of the votes and won the show.

The First Vice-Champion Diwakar Sharma received a cash prize of 5 lakh.
The third season of the first Indian reality show Rising Star was premiered on March 16th. Shankar Mahadevan Diljit Dosanjh returned as a judge while Monali Thakur was replaced by singer Neeti Mohan. Aditya Narayan has replaced Ravi Dubey as host of the series.
