Gully Boy talks about Murad (Ranveer), a rapper in the slums of Mumbai, who wants to climb above of his socio-economic status to become a star. Despite his discouragement, he manages to storm the underground rap scene. The film is inspired by the lives of underground rappers Divine and Naezy.
Produced by Tiger Baby Productions and Excel Entertainment, Gully Boy also stars Kalki Koechlin, Vijay Raaz, Amruta Subhash and Siddhant Chaturvedi. The film is scheduled to open in cinemas on February 14.
