Virender Sehwag celebrated his 40th birthday on Saturday with exalted greetings for the former Indian social media championship. Sehwag played 104 Tests, 251 international one day and 19 international Twenty20, beating many records en route.
The simple approach of Sehwag's cricket has earned him many fans around the world, while his incessant attacks made the bowlers graze to get to the locker room.
He was the first to be Indian Triple-Centurion Test and only second player in the history of the game to score a double century ODI
Sehwag scored 8586 points in cricket test at an average of 49.34 . It has the highest career strike rate (82.23) among all players who have played more than 50 tests.
In 251 ODI, Sehwag scored 8,273 points at an average of 35.05 and a superb shot of 104.33. The former Indian worker totals 38 international half-centuries and 38 half-centuries.
Sehwag has two tribal centuries: 309 vs Pakistan at Multan (2004) and 319 vs South Africa at Chennai (2008). In 2009, Sehwag almost wrote a storyline in history and became the first drummer to have scored three times three hundredths in test matches, when he broke 293 balls just 254 balls against Sri Lanka to Mumbai.
