Amitabh Bachchan has reportedly sold his Rolls Royce Phantom for an undisclosed amount.

Amitabh Bachchan has sold his swanky Rolls Royce Phantom, which was gifted to him by filmmaker Chopra Vidhu Vinod Chopra, Chopra gifted Bachchan Eklavya: The Royal Guard because he was "really happy with his performance".

Despite tanking at the box office, Eklavya: The Royal Guard was India's official entry to the Oscars in the Best Foreig n Film category that year. The film also featured Saif Ali Khan, Sharmila Tagore, Sanjay Dutt, Vidya Balan, Sen Raima, Jackie Shroff, Jimmy Shergill and Boman Irani in pivotal roles.

The Rolls Royce Phantom is valued at Rs 3.5 crore, and was a part of Bachchan's collection of luxury cars, which also included a Mercedez S-Clbad, a Range Rover, a Bentley GT and a Lexus SUV

On the work front, Bachchan was last seen on the big screen in Vijay Krishna Acharya's Thugs Of Hindostan, in which he played Khudabaksh, the commander of the 'thugs'.

The action-adventure movie, which also featured Aamir Khan, Katrina Kaif and Fatima Sana Shaikh in the lead roles, was a colossal disaster at the box office

Currently, Bachchan is gearing up for the release of Sujoy Ghosh's thriller Badla, which is an official remake of the Spanish hit The Invisible Guest (2016). The film, which also features Taapsee Pannu, revolves around a woman who has been accused of murdering her lover

Badla is Bachchan and Pannu's second film together, after the National Award-winning film Pink. It is scheduled to open in theaters this Friday (March 8).
