November 26 (Reuters) – Chicago and Midwestern commuters were faced with episodes of thick, wet snow as they returned to work Monday after the long Thanksgiving weekend, with the storm cutting the current, freezing the roads and canceling some
The National Weather Service ended the blizzard warnings on Monday in northeastern Missouri, in the Chicago metropolitan area, and in Michigan, but reported that winds violent up to 45 km / h (72 km / h) would continue to blow around
"The snow will continue to gradually decline in gusts of snow and will end this morning," said the service bureau in Chicago in a statement, in which he warned drivers to pay close attention to slippery roads in low visibility.
"The road to work was NASTY," said Diane Pathieu, an ABC7 Chicago presenter on Twitter, about her daily commute. "Roads barely cleared, the wind blowing everywhere, proceed with caution!"
