Highlights of the Chitralahari Review: A Relatable First Half | Telugu Movie News

[ad_1]

After movies like
Nenu Sailaja and
Vunnadhi Okate Zindagi Kishore Tirumala is back with
Chitralahari with Sai Dharam Tej, Kalyani Priyadarshan and Nivetha Pethuraj in the lead roles.

Chitralahari traces the course of an unlucky mechanical engineer named Vijay (Sai Dharam Tej) for whom nothing seems to happen. He needs a drink with his "glbad mate" Mike (Sunil) at the end of the day to get through life. It is only his father (Posani Krishna Murali) who thinks that he will represent something someday. Her friend Lahari (Kalyani Priyadarshan) is a naive woman influenced by the fingers that everyone around her keeps pointing to Vijay for being a "loser". Sweccha (Nivetha Pethuraj), her childhood friend, further complicates things for their relationship by constantly judging Vijay, even if he has never met her.

The first half of
Chitralahari sees history exploring Vijay's professional and personal struggles. Until now, Kishore Tirumala has done a good job of keeping the story in an unjudged manner, even if the protagonist was surrounded by very critical characters. Despite some mistakes, the movie does enough to keep you engaged, mainly because of its relatable factor. It remains to be seen if the second half will accelerate.
