Hyderabadi sets a world record for serving more than 1,000 people in one day

Hyderabad (Telangana): Gowtham Kumar, founder of the NGO "Serve Needy" based in Hyderabad, is listed in the universal book to serve food to more than 1 000 people in one

Kumar reached his goal Sunday after serving food to more than 1,000 people in three different locations. He first served at Gandhi Hospital, then at Rajendra Nagar and finally at Amma Nanna Orphanage in Chowtuppal

The award was presented by the representative of Universal Book of Records India KV Ramana Rao and the Telangana representative, TM Srilatha.

Addressing ANI, Kumar said, "I launched the Serve Needy organization in 2014 and we now have about 140 volunteers. We have been doing this type of social activities since 2014. But today, I have been serving food to more than 1,000 people on its own. So it was a world record. "
