Actor Dwayne Johnson revealed that he was the first choice of the Academy of Cinematography Arts and Sciences (AMPAS) to host the upcoming Academy Awards.
Responding to a fan who asked the actor to organize the ceremony next year, Johnson revealed that the Academy had approached for the role of presenter this year.
But the actor revealed that things did not materialize because of his commitments to Jumanji 2.
"Ah, man, I was their first choice, this year, and my goal was to make it the most entertaining and entertaining Oscars of all time. We all did our best, but we could not get there since I shot Jumanji, "wrote the actor.
" Academy and I were really disappointed, but maybe a day later, "he added.

The Oscars are currently hostless After Kevin Hart left his post following a controversy over his old homophobic tweets resurging.
The Jumanji franchise is based on the Chris Van Allsburg dating picture book from 1981 and that gave birth to the film adaptation of Sony starring Robin Williams. Both told the story of a magical board game in which wild animals from the jungle invaded the real world.
