She said she was also scared, but had quickly realized that resigning herself to her fate would be of no help.He continued: "I was scared too, but I soon realized that burying my head in sand was not the solution. "
She adds that, whatever her small experience, she would like everything. to know that becoming emotional and weak would not help. It was important to understand cancer, to see what worked best for a person, to be positive and, most importantly, to be diligent about treatment.
"And so … with the little experience I've had, I urge you all to take the time to understand it. Cancer is not just about being emotional or weak, or being labeled a fighter or survivor. You must study it, find out what is right for you and be diligent in your treatment. It takes days of self-confidence, knowing that tomorrow will be better than today. This is not a fight against negative thoughts. It's taking a stand not to give in, anyway. More importantly, it's about living on a daily basis, not just about surviving. "
