After officially becoming a husband and wife in a court wedding last week, Rajeev Sen and Charu Asopa kicked off their wedding party in Goa. The actor's brother Sushmita Sen and his TV actor wife hosted on Friday an engagement ceremony and a ceremony of the mehendi in their complex near the beach.
Rajeev shared photos and videos of the engagement ceremony on Instagram. "I've loved you for 1000 years and more #rajakibittu #engagementm," he said in a video showing the couple unearthing a bottle of champagne. We see Charu in a white dress with a bridal veil and Rajeev in a white jacket on black pants. Another picture shows that they are watching the sea while holding hands. Charu's sister, Chintan, shared more photos of the bride and groom with their families. Sushmita and her daughters, Renee and Aliseh, and her boyfriend, the model Rohman Shawl, were pictured. The whole family smiled and posed with the couple.

Rajeev also shared several videos of their seaside resort and Charu videos of the mehendi ceremony later in the night. She was wearing a pink-flowered lehenga and a glittery golden choli. She also wore a ceremonial dagger on her. The videos shared by her sister show that Rajeev takes care of his fiancee, feeds him with his dinner while she gets her hands and feet henna decorated.

Speaking from his marriage, Charu had previously told HT, "We will have a destination wedding in Goa on June 16th. The wedding theme is "traditional Royal", so everything will be in this style. The ceremonies will take place on the 14th, followed by sangeet and mehendi on June 15th, and haldi and marriage weddings on June 16th. We are going to get married in Bengali and Rajasthanian style and rituals, Rajeev being Bengali and I Rajasthani.
Rajeev also refuted rumors that Sushmita was unhappy with his marriage to Charu. "Rumors will always be rumors, it's been part of our life for many years. We always kindly ignored him with a smile. My sister loves Charu a lot and I could not be happier! "
