NEW DELHI: The Indian and Pakistani forces exchanged sweets on January 26, the day of the 70th anniversary celebration of the Republic, along the border between Attari and Wagah.
National holidays such as Republic Day, Independence Day and religious holidays like Diwali and Eid.
However, in 2018, the BSF had refused to exchange sweets and vows with Pakistani rangers on the border between Attari and Wagah on Republic Day because of the increased tension nations located along the border. As forces exchanged sweets at the Wagah border on Saturday, two terrorists were killed during a meeting with security forces in the Khunmoh region, in the suburb of Srinagar, Jammu-and -Cashmere.

Khunmoh security forces launched a cordon-off operation after obtaining information about the presence of terrorists in the area. Republic Day demonstrations are also taking place in parts of Srinagar.
Security forces said the search turned to weapons after terrorists opened fire on the security forces.
