A pre-wedding reception of the younger daughter of Rajinikanth, Soundarya, and his fiance Vishagan Vanangamudi had place on Friday in Chennai. The couple is getting married on February 11th. According to various media, the pre-wedding reception was held at Raghavendra Kalyana Mandapam. Several interior photos were shared on social media and, thanks to them, it seems that the function was an intimate affair. The future bride opted for a sari of blue and gold silk while Vishagan Vanangamudi was dressed in a white shirt and a dhoti . Rajinikanth wore a set kurta pajama and his wife Latha was seen in a green sari . Soundarya's older sister, Aishwaryaa, and her acting husband, Dhanush, also attended the ceremony.

Earlier this week, in a pos Twitter, Soundarya has confirmed his marriage to Vishagan Vanangamudi, an actor-industrialist. She shared a picture of herself dressed in a traditional outfit and wrote: "A week before … Bride Fashion .Ved Vishagan Soundarya."

It was also reported that prior to marriage, a puja for the couple would also take place at Rajinikanth's residence in Poes Garden.
On Thursday, Rajinikanthe also met with the politician Kamal Haasan actor to invite him to the wedding of Soundarya and Vishagan Vanangamudi.
