Iron Man 3 included a subtle suspicion that Marvel was planning to turn Tony Stark's AI, JARVIS, into a Vision. Paul Bettany is unique in the annals of Marvel Cinematic Universe, the only actor to have played two high-level MCU characters on the big screen. He was introduced as the voice of JARVIS in Iron Man in 2008, but he became the superhero known as Vision.
Named in the honor of Howard Stark's old butler, JARVIS – a rather highly intelligent system – began as a natural language user interface system, created by Tony Stark. Naturally, over the years, Stark has tinkered with artificial intelligence, even downloading it in Iron Man's armor. Tragically, JARVIS was destroyed by Ultron in Avengers: Age of Ultron but the remaining codes of artificial intelligence were downloaded from the Internet and continued to thwart Ultron's attempts to acquire nuclear codes. Stark has imported the latest JARVIS code into a synthetic body and has become part of a brand new entity, the Android called Vision.

It's a crazy and complex story, but, in a funny way, Marvel hinted a subtle suspicion two years before that happened. Iron Man 3 took place at Christmas 2012 and featured a number of scenes in Tony Stark's home in Malibu. In the background, Tony has actually set aside a stocking for JARVIS, with his name sewn on it. It's a fun touch, suggesting that Stark really thinks that JARVIS is part of the family. But the essential detail is the bottom color: red and green, the color scheme usually badociated with Vision.
As Paul Bettany explained in an interview with Marvel Entertainment in 2015, Marvel had planned the shooting of JARVIS / Vision. well in advance. Joss Whedon originally came up with this idea and spoke to Kevin Feige, president of Marvel Studios. According to Bettany, when Whedon got the green light, he switched from one director to another in a second, delighted to give life to one of his favorite cartoon characters on the big screen. " I was aware of this three years ago, " thinks Bettany, " and I keep it secret. " Since the filming did not take place not started on Iron Man 3 until May 2012, it is obvious that someone in the Marvel Studios did not choose the colors of this low as a subtle foreshadow.
It's the best type of Easter egg because it's a subtle detail that's easy to miss, but milestones the future of a major character of the franchise. It would not have been difficult for Marvel either; After all, it's just a low in the background and it's likely that most actors and the team did not know why Marvel chose this color scheme. In reality, they envisioned the future of JARVIS – and its transformation into vision.
