Irrfan Khan reportedly returned to India after receiving treatment for a neuroendocrine tumor last week. Much speculation was made about his return, a rumor being that he would be here to begin filming the next 2017 opus Hindi Medium.
A report published in Bollywoodhungama has denied all the badumptions and said that Irrfan Khan would not be part of the movie. A friend of the actor told the portal: "Irrfan is slowly recovering. He will not return to action for a moment. The healing process is slow and exhausting. Even after his complete recovery, he will not be allowed to return to work for at least a year. There is no question of making Hindi Medium 2 or any other film in the near future. Earlier last year, the entertainment website announced that actor Karwaan would be returning from London after Diwali to shoot for the sequel, entitled English Medium.
Pinkvilla also reported that Kareena Kapoor Khan, the main lead actress of the film, was approached, and last year it was announced that Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol would join Irrfan for the sequel.
But the main actor and director of the first film not being on board, will producer Dinesh Vijan be able to go ahead with the second film? Let's wait and see!
