Well, it's the theme of countless movies, especially romantic comedies, and Is not It Romantic is probably part of it. The only difference is that she takes a satirical look at all these previous films and tries to use these elements of conspiracy made to death in her favor.

Is not it romantic? presents an overweight architect, Natalie (Rebel Wilson), who, as you guessed it, thinks she 's not in love, because why does anyone? ; she would! Other usual films on body positivity, such as a bady but ill-mannered guy, a friendly colleague and a gay friend with no real job, are used without hurry. However, the problem is that director Todd Strauss-Schulson has fallen victim to all these things he intends to make fun of.
It might have seemed like a good gesture at the beginning as it would help the public to identify with the clichés, but no one will move them away from the bright world, freed from faded benches and uncovered manholes. What is designed as a fun commentary offers nothing more than what it preaches against.

Rebel Wilson's Natalie faces an aggression on a New York subway platform and suddenly discovers that the world around her has changed. Which, technically, means a sermon on "believing in the power of love" and ending in "you are kind". Thanks to Wilson's understanding of space, you are willing to travel the streets of New York, very different from reality. 19659004] Guess where does all this go? You can see two conflicting worlds collide and become a vast set filled with colorful vibrations filled with dancers. Anyway, who would want to see an overweight and yet talented woman excel in her career?

Is not Romantic is a new thought, but it does not retain the initial energy. I just wish the script could have given Wilson more reach. Who knows, she could have given it a new dimension. Was not she the real power behind Pitch Perfect?
