Kajol and Janhvi Kapoor attended a awards ceremony last night. They both wore Shivan Narresh and Manish Malhotra respectively.
The Dada Saheb Phalke Awards 2019 were held in Mumbai last night and were rewarded with the best of several worlds, including Bollywood. The event was organized by Janhvi Kapoor, Kajol, Ishaan Khattar and Aditi Rao Hydari, among others. Kajol and Janhvi Kapoor, who both wore saris at the event, experienced two major sari moments at last night's event. While Janhvi looked red, the red half of Kajol's saree was balanced with the contrasting white lace fabric.
Janhvi was lovely in a red saree, a bespoke creation of her designer friend, Manish Malhotra. The design of the sari was relatively simpler as it featured only a gold embroidered border along the sides of the sari. The sari was paired with a matching sleeveless blouse. The look was adorned with a two-tier emerald green Amrapali necklace. While the saree was simple and that she could have grown old, I like that she wears it with a sleeveless blouse, then wears her hair in a nice braid, which gives her the immediate appropriate look.
Kajol wore a sari from the latest collection of Shivan and Narresh. The saree was a half and a half where the part of the skirt was all red with a printed panel and the pallu on her body was made of a white lace fabric with flowers with pearl ornaments. The saree was paired with a matching red blouse and wore his look with an emerald green collar and poker braided hair.
Of the two, I love more the look of Janhvi.
