Bollywood star Janhvi Kapoor, who made his impressive debut with Dhadak, a remake of the blockbuster film Marathi Sairat, began working on the untitled biopic of Gunjan Saxena, the first woman combat pilot forces Indian airplanes actively participated in the Kargil War in 1999. Janhvi and Pankaj Kapoor are in Lucknow for the shooting of the film, and the pictures of the sets are now surfacing online.

Directed by Sharan Sharma, the biographical film will also feature Angad Bedi in a central role. Shooting is scheduled to take place in Lucknow, filming could take place by the end of March.

Dhadak, for the uninitiated, was the official Hindi remake of Marathi Sairat's hit. It was a tragic love story between a Dalit boy and a high caste girl, who enjoyed a surprise success when it was released in 2017.

Meanwhile, Janhvi also signed the Takht from Karan Johar. He will see Ranveer Singh play Dara Shikoh while Vicky Kaushal will be seen as Aurangzeb. It will be a multi-starring with Ranveer Singh, Kareena Kapoor, Alia, Bhumi Pednekar and Vicky, among others.
