The lyricist and veteran poet Javed Akhtar tore Omung Kumar's next film, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the biographical film about the Indian prime minister. The film stars in the lead role of Vivek Oberoi. Since the announcement of this film, this one has been at the center of several controversies. The latest one seems to be a credit for Javed Akhtar under "Lyrics" on the movie poster, while the lyricist says that he is "shocked" to find his name there.
Akhtar asked Twitter to post a screenshot. from the credits on the movie poster and writes: "I am shocked to find my name on the poster of this movie.I did not write any songs for that!"

Vivek Oberoi-starrer Prime Minister Narendra Modi sees actor Saathiya put himself in the prime minister's shoes. The trailer for the biopic was put online late March 20, after an event launching the trailer the same afternoon. The film trailer was put online Wednesday, about 15 days before the publication of the biopic. The biopic has already been controversial because of its release date from April 12 to April 5. India goes to the polls on April 11, the first phase of the Lok Sabha election is scheduled to begin on that date. While Prime Minister Narendra Modi's biopic was scheduled for release the day after April 11, it has now been postponed until April 5th.

The film, produced by Sandip Ssingh, Suresh Oberoi and Anand Pandit, has raised online issues related to its release date. At the launch ceremony of the trailer on March 20, when Oberoi was asked about the date changes, he said: "Hand sirf ek hi baat bolna shahunga. Modi hai toh mumkin hai. "
