Jaya Prada, actress turned politician, said she was planning to commit suicide several years ago when altered images of It was broadcast on social media. She also talked about her links with the Samajwadi party leader, deported, Amar Singh, whom she considered her "godfather".

"Amar Singh was on dialysis and my transformed images were circulating in the area, I cried saying I want to live more, I want to commit suicide, I was going through this trauma and no one has supported me," Jaya said. Jaya Prada, 56, also claimed that she had received threats from legislator Azam Khan, of the Samajwadi party.

Azam Khan is the legislator of Rampur and a sharp critic of Amar Singh.
