Jodhpur High Court issues notification to Saif Ali Khan, Sonali Bender, Neelam and Tabu in a blackbuck poaching case

On Monday, the Jodhpur High Court sent a notice to actors Saif Ali Khan, Sonali Bender, Neelam Kothari, Tabu and Dushyant Singh as part of the 1998 poaching case. Government of the state disputed the acquittal of the actors of the case by a local court.

The Asian News International (ANI) news agency shared the news on his Twitter account. Their tweet read: "Black Buck Poaching Affair: The Jodhpur High Court sent a notice to Saif Ali Khan, Sonali Bendre, Neelam Kothari, Tabu and Dushyant Singh in the course of an appeal against their acquittal by a local court ".

The actors were acquitted in the case on April 5th of last year. In contrast, Salman Khan was convicted under Section 9/51 of the Wildlife Protection Act. He was sentenced to five years in prison and fined 10,000 rupees.

However, after spending two nights at Jodhpur Central Prison, he is released on bail of 50,000 rupees and two sureties of the same amount. His appeal against the sentence will be heard on April 3rd.
