John Abraham and Emraan Hashmi team up with director Sanjay Gupta for a gangster movie that will showcase Bombay's transformation into Mumbai. Read to learn more.
One of the most prolific filmmakers to have many films is Sanjay Gupta, who gave Bollywood movies like Shootout to Wadala, Shootout to Lokhandwala, Kaabil and more. The director is known for his gangster films and now plans to do one more. For his sequel, Sanjay Gupta brought together two of Bollywood's best-known actors. They are none other than John Abraham and Emraan Hashmi. John Abraham was last seen in Sanjay's film Shootout at Wadala.
Emraan and John will appear in a gangster movie set in the 1980s and 1990s, when Bombay becomes Mumbai. All the history will unfold around time, which includes key events like the closure of factories, the murder of a key business man, the link between politicians, cops, the underworld and the business world. The filmmaker mentions that this film is really close to his heart and that he therefore occupies a special place. According to a report in Mumbai Mirror, it will be a film of two heroes where there will be scenes of a cat and mouse chase in between.
Sanjay said, "This is my third outing with John and I am super excited to be working with Emraan. I've always wanted to work with him and I'm back to my director base, gangster dramas and all I can say is … it's good to be at the House. Sanjay Gupta will not only perform John and Emraan, but will also co-produce the film with Bhushan Kumar. The film will be screened in July and will be completed by the end of the year. This will be the first time that Emraan and John will share space on the screen.

Meanwhile, John is busy filming his next film, Pagalpanti with Anees Bazmee. During the filming, John was injured in the arm and had to leave to recover. For his part, Emraan will work with Amitabh Bachchan in Chehre. Its release is scheduled for February 21, 2020.
