At last night's SAG Awards, Emily Blunt won Best Supporting Actress for her performance in the hit thriller A Quiet Place . The star seemed shocked by her win (the other nominees were Emma Stone, Rachel Weisz, Amy Adams and Margot Robbie), but no one seemed happier for her than her husband, John Krasinski, who had written, directed and co-starred in the film
Blunt, who married alum in Office in 2010, was quick to thank his wife during his thank you speech. "I will share this completely with my husband, John Krasinski," she said. "Because this experience lived with you has completely pierced my heart. You are an amazing filmmaker.I'm so lucky to be with you and having made this movie with you." She also joked that her husband had given her the role. "Thank you for giving me the role, If you had not had trouble, then you did not really have a choice, but thanks, "Blunt said.
"And thanks to the two little poems of our lives, our girls Hazel and Violet, who will have to be at least 4 5 before they can see this movie, but they will still be proud of you," continued the actress . Krasinki proudly looked at the audience, apparently on the verge of tears.
Blunt finished his speech by thanking his team and also thanked the Screen Actors Guild. "I am so honored, I like it so much."
The SAG winner, who wore a pink ruffle dress from Michael Kors Collection, added adorable comments to her husband while talking to the press after her victory. "My favorite thing about filming A quiet place was definitely working with John," she said.
"We had never done it before, and it's kind of the big unknown," Blunt continued. "You start this process without knowing what it's going to be like, and a lot of people were saying," You're going to divorce before the end, "you know, and in fact we were so much closer. I think the discovery of how well we collaborated and how much we can create something together was so special. "
