Hollywood actor Johnny Depp was hit with a $ 2.44 crore lawsuit by a law firm claiming he did not pay his bills. The lawsuit was filed Monday against the star of Pirates of the Caribbean .

Depp retained Buckley LLP in 2017 to sue his former entertainment law firm, Bloom Hergott LLP, for allegedly stealing the R 209. variety.com.

Three Buckley lawyers – Fredrick Levin, Michael Rome and Ali Abugheida – worked on the case until last January. Levin successfully defended the case at a summary judgment hearing in August 2018.

Depp is now represented by Adam Waldman and Brown Rudnick LLP's lawyers. The case is currently scheduled to be judged in September. According to the lawsuit, Buckley charged the actor at 3.7 crore rupees – which represents a 10% discount on the firm's hourly rate.
Depp paid only 1.30 crore Rs, leaving a balance of Rs 2.4 crore. The lawsuit indicates that Depp's representatives informed Buckley LLP in January of his intention to leave the firm because he sought to "contract the number of law firms providing services to him and his entities".

Edward White, the representative of Depp in this case, told the company that he had "a great esteem" for Levin and that the actor was planning to pay the fees in suffering in the first quarter of 2019.

"The plaintiff has received other badurances regarding the payment of Depp agents, with the recent promise to pay the full amount due in mid-May", declare the trial.

These promises were not kept, according to the lawsuit.
