Box Office Updates: On its release, Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga collected 3.30 crores on the first day and then had accumulated 13.53 crores during the weekend. Now Junglee recorded exactly the same numbers, with an opening day of 3.35 crores and the weekend turning out to be 13.85 crores . It was after the Sunday was imported 6,05 crore .
The numbers are not really optimal and the starring Vidyut Jammwal would now require very good stability throughout the week to ensure a good number. Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga had gone south during the week, so the figures for the first week were 19.68 crore . Now Junglee hopes to get a better result than the one after the first week.
Regarding Notebook it would now be a weeklong show, with almost no numbers to display after the first weekend. On Sunday, the film collected 1.10 crores * more, which is very mediocre. The total to date is 2.75 crores which says a lot about history
The film of Zahir Iqbal and Pranutan Behl will barely make a life of 4 crore and this will not even cover marketing costs. The film is yet another major disappointment this year after Why Cheat India ( 8.66 crore ) and Sonchiriya ( 6.6 crore ) which was credible names attached, came with decent visibility and still failed to approach the 10 crore lifetime. Notebook, in fact, will not even cover half that distance!
