Junglee Movie Review: A Kindergarten Film With Awesome Action Capabilities

Junglee performed by Vidyut Jammwal and a herd of elephants, left me the same feeling as I had felt after seeing Blue, the "shark film" "from Akshay Kumar shot in the Bahamas. . I was more interested in observing creatures than in researching what human characters were preparing.

The elephants in Junglee are majestic, sensitive and sharp. Which is more than one can say about humans in the movie.
Vidyut plays Raj, a veterinarian in Mumbai, who returns home to the elephant sanctuary run by his father in Orissa after ten years. Here, he is united to the people and the animals with whom he has become friends as he grows up. The joy is short lived, however. Recruited by a gora businessman, a deadly hunter (Atul Kulkarni) entered the shrine to capture a defender for his precious ivory.

This is a standard revenge plot with an anti-poaching message and up to eight writers. credited with the story, scenario, additional script and dialogues of this kindergarten film. Yes, you heard right – eight writers! Whatever the case may be, virtually every scene is flat and inert.

The characters are even less convincing. Atul Kulkarni considers himself a poacher with principles. "The main jaanwaron ko yunhi nahin maarta. A music book, a music book, he says, insisting that he does not kill for wealth, but for the thrill. There are two women in the film – a mahout (Pooja Sawant) and a journalist (Asha Bhat) – and although they have plenty of time in front of the screen, their roles are hardly valuable. Akshay Oberoi embodies the childhood friend and ranger of our protagonist, and there is also Makarand Deshpande, Gaja Guru, a wise teacher of ancient martial arts, kalaripayattu, who throws wrinkles and is constantly flabbergasted

But the film, course is intended to serve as a showcase for the awesome action capabilities of its leading actor, Vidyut Jammwal, who makes the jump, slide and swing sound like a game of 39; child. From one side, he rides an elephant, standing on his back. In another scene, he defeats a group of men while he was chained to a table. He even repeats this Commando 2 waterfall in which he slides out of a room through a thin opening in the wall. It's impressive, even though the acting game is always awkward.

Directed by Chuck Russell, who barred The Mask one of Jim Carrey's early successes, Junglee is ultimately disappointing except when he remains focused on animals. . A pre-intermission mbadacre scene is the only emotional emotion in the film, but the wooden role play I just told you steals the moment of its full impact.

For its finale, the film suddenly goes from the forest to an abandoned Warehouse and it becomes your highlight of action movie with nasty Chinese cartoonists, a blond moll and a dozen henchmen who fall like flies when the hero punches and strikes them. Yawning!

Frankly, animals deserved better, and so did we. I'm going with two out of five for Junglee.
