Shahid Kapoor received rave reviews for the recently released teaser of his upcoming film, Kabir Singh. The actor plays an addict and an alcoholic doctor in the movie, which is an official remake of Telugu's hit movie Arjun Reddy 2017. While several fans and friends have praised the intriguing trailer, the Shahid's wife, Mira Rajput, was one of the people who launched the loudest cry for the teaser.
Mira shared the teaser of Arjun Singh on her Instagram account and named her captain, "Boom #whattawowow".
Shahid was also commended by the first film by Arjun Reddy, actor Vijay Deverakonda, who shared his response on Twitter. Vijay tweeted, "Kabir Singh! Sending my love and best wishes to my men @imvangasandeep, @ShahidKapoor and the lady @Advani_Kiara. Shahid answered Vijay by speaking to him as a brother. Among other people who rented Kabir Singh's teaser, rapper Badshah, who l called "Faad", Shahid replied, "@badboyshah hor kitni tareefan ???"
The teaser was also appreciated by viewers who turned to Twitter to compare Kabir Singh's stills with the original Telugu movie.

We can see Shahid drinking alcohol, snorting cocaine and use sworn words in the Kabir Singh teaser. His character resembles his character Tommy in the 2016 film Udta Punjab.

Kabir Singh was led by Sandeep Vanga, who also directed the original. The film's release is scheduled for June 21st. In the film, Shahid plays the role of an alcoholic surgeon who self-destructs after the marriage of his girlfriend (Kiara Advani).
