Kajal Aggarwal: Sita is a representation of today's girl

The story of the film looks like a modern adaptation of Ramayana

I love the mythological stories very much. But, this film has no connection with mythology. It's more about relationships, dynamism and ambition. It's about every person wanting to make it really big in his life. And what is the priority for each person? For some people, they just want to get married and settle down. But for others, they want to succeed in their life. So, I think Sita is a representation of today's girl and how she wants to work hard and achieve her goals. She's not a nasty and she's not a Sita Kaliyug. Sita is just a very motivated and motivated person. She is ambitious and wants to realize her dreams.

Tell us about your experience working with director Teja.

I have a lot of respect for Teja, sir. I really enjoyed working with him at Lakshmi Kalyanam, Nene Raju Nene Mantri and now Sita. Teja sir told the story of Sita many years ago. The project was set aside because I could not badign dates. Then we did Nene Raju Nene Mantri. During the filming of Nene Raju Nene Mantri, I did not stop telling Mr. Teja not to make this film with anyone, as I would do to Sita. There is something that keeps Teja going and does not go away. It is admirable and commendable. In fact, it's amazing. I do not know how this man does it. But he can work 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. When he is in a project, his energy is contagious.

Has there been a change in the story compared to the original narrative, especially the climax?

Yes, that has changed. But for the better. Each person has a very different meaning from what they want their project to look like. And Teja sir has just polished it very beautifully. And he did his best for the film. He carried the emotions to a much higher level because he wanted it to be easier to understand. And the only thing that permeable celluloid to reality is emotion

Did you enjoy playing a character with negative nuances to Sita?

I loved it. I really enjoyed that. Because there are not too many movies that give you the opportunity to play this way. And it was a very fine line. I did not want to cross. I did not want to cross the line and become a negative character. I wanted to keep this line where she has conviction and who is selfish.

Filmmakers naming a film after the main female character is a rare thing.

I am very happy that times are changing. I am very happy that the directors do not want to give the title just for fun. They really want to keep the title based on what's relevant to the script. Here, the script talks about Sita and how she deals with her relationships and the people around her. So I'm glad that Teja mister comes to see him.

Sita is your second film with Bellamkonda Sai Sreenivas.

My experience working with him was very nice. We have a very good compatibility. I think we broke the ice during Kavacham. Sita needed that kind of chemistry. I'm glad it's our second film. Because I think it helped us and that the character of Sai Sreenivas is very stimulating. I think it's more difficult than my role. His character is harder to understand and execute. He did a great job. He really raised the bar for himself. I think Teja sir wanted someone who seems both vulnerable and macho. It's a rare combination and I think it fits perfectly with the bill.

Does Sita have a message to the public?

Sita does not have a social message. But it's a take on interpersonal relationships and a message for personal development.

What made you most excited about Sita?

The fact that I can do something extraordinary. I play several shades in the film. It's an entire graph. And it's an evolution of my character. My character in the movie is complex with twists. It was very exciting for me to represent, and as an actor, learn and grow in different ways. You know, as an actor, we all want to do different things. We do not want to continue doing the same thing over and over again. This has given me the opportunity to understand for myself what I can experience. And what I would like to do more.

Have you done any homework for your role?

Yes. But, there was not one person in particular whom I had to observe outside of society. It was enough for me to observe people in general. I've talked a lot to Teja, sir, to understand how we want to go from here. I had three meetings with Teja sir where I sat down and took notes. I made a complete graph showing how it will be when.

On the other hand, I did not want to watch another movie because I did not want it to be a cliché. For example, I did not want her to be a stereotypical person. She's not a vampire. It's a very nice girl. But his priorities are different in life. So I have to be very careful about how I want to proceed.

Do you like being pushed by directors?

All actors like to be pushed. This makes our job easier. That's why we like being pushed. If not, we must think and dig our heads. Here, someone tells you what to do. It's the quality of an extraordinary director and every actor wants it. It makes my life easier. Why do not I want it? Second, it tests my limits. And, I want to break the chains and go further. Above all, after so many years, I want to explore different things. I want to explore roles from a different angle. Teja sir is amazing at that. Looks like you did the stunts yourself?

I myself did some very intense stunts. I had a physiotherapist who was waiting for me.

What happened in Paris Paris? He was supposed to go out a long way back?

I do not know He was supposed to free himself. I hope it's coming out soon. I made it the Tamil version. I've tried to do it as differently as possible. I always wanted to maintain the vulnerability of the character. I always wanted her to be sweet and innocent. But I wanted to show the metamorphosis of a vulnerable girl from a small town to the understanding of what she wanted in the journey of her life. And everyone deals with heartache. I have therefore tried to make this as personal as possible.

What are your future plans?
