Karan Johar in the series revealed that both are now friends over the past three decades. In the show, Kapil Sharma asked Kajol about his first reaction after seeing Karan Johar.
While talking about her first meeting with Karan Johar, Kajol said that she had met Karan Johar at an evening when he had come dressed in a three piece suit. She mocked Karan Johar for his fashion choices and what he wore. Karan also added that she had mocked him and had laughed too, but later in 1991, they became friends when they encountered the creation of Rishi Kapoor saring Henna published in 1991.
Karan Johar also revealed that in fact, they became friends simply because of Akshay Kumar. However, Kajol disagreed but Karan revealed that Kajol had a crush on Akshay Kumar and that in that party, she was just looking at Akshay and Karan was helping her.
He says: "Ek aur party mein hum hum thousand movie ki first th Tab Kajol had a crush on Akshay Kumar Abhi bowl sakte hain theek hai raha tha Akshay Kumar nahin mila but ek doosre ko hum mil gaye. Toh usi hamaare friendship ki shuruaat hui.Kajol is married to Ajay Devgn.This is a really amazing coincidence.
