The creators of Kalank released the first song of the film, as beautiful as melodious. If Varun Dhawan is seen in the video, it is the jugalbandi of Alia-Madhuri Dixit who is the main attraction of the song. Pritam composed the music of Ghar More Pardesiyathat, written by Amitabh Bhattacharya. Shreya Ghosal and Vaishali Mhade lent their voice to the song.
The video begins with Varun and Alia entering a street where Ramleela is going. As they walk in their own paths, Ram comes in and we also see Laxman draw the "Laxman rekha" in front of Sita. We see Madhuri sitting on a swing singing a bhajan. The Laxman rekha may be a symbol of what prevents Alia from getting closer to Varun. Soon, we see Alia enter the premises where Madhuri sings and the two embark on a melodious jugalbandi. Alia also does a beautiful ballet that impresses Madhuri and us.

Madhuri Dixit shared an image of the song Monday morning where she is seen alongside Alia. While Madhuri wore a peach-colored dress with ethnic jewels, Alia kept her simple with a white figure and minimal accessories.

Earlier Sunday, Alia teased fans with a teaser of the song and revealed that filming the song had given her sleepless nights. "A song that gave me sleepless nights, days and months will be coming very soon … I think you can safely say that I've never been so nervous about anything in my life … * howls frantically and hides under the bed * You may have sent a research group to find me. In the meantime, look at this space for more .., "she wrote on her Instagram account with a picture of the song.
Directed by Abhishek Varman from 2 states, Kalank is also performed by Varun Dhawan, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditya Roy Kapur and Sanjay Dutt. It is produced by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions. Recently designed by Yash Johar and his son Karan, it was originally conceptualized about 15 years ago. Kalank is expected to open on April 17.
