Varun Dhawan promotes his next film Kalank his first drama in costume. The film, which takes place in the 1940s, was created more than 15 years ago when Karan Johar and his father, Yash Johar, were in talks about the film. But the project never took off. But in his book "An Inappropriate Boy," Karan revealed that his dream cast for the film included Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, Rani Mukerji, and Ajay Devgn.
During Kalank's interaction on Monday, Varun Dhawan talked about his role in the role of Zafar which had originally been written for Shah Rukh Khan. He said, "I think a lot of roles are written for very, very big people. I think it is so and how this film was to be shot a long time ago. But that was not done. We then recruited a new director and we rethought the film. That's what he wants to do. "
" It was a very difficult role, extremely difficult. I think Abhishek Varman was a little sadder to take what was there. And it was difficult because it was not only physically, but emotionally, this character had a lot of luggage. "
At the launch of the trailer earlier last week, Varun was asked about Shah Rukh's reaction after following Zafar's portrait. Varun said: "I met Shah Rukh, sir, a week ago and he had already seen the teaser. He had good things to say about it. "It's a good thing that you play that kind of role, it brings your fans closer."
Kalank plays in a set including Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt, Sonakshi Sinha, Madhuri Dixit, Aditya Roy Kapur and Sanjay Dutt. It is scheduled for April 17.
