Dhaakad will be directed by Razneesh 'Razy' Ghai and is produced jointly by Sohel Maklai Productions and Asylum Films and co-produced by Qyuki Digital Media. Director Razy and screenwriters Chintan Gandhi and Rinish Ravindra wrote the action thriller. The film also marks the first collaboration of screenwriter Ritesh Shah with Kangana Ranaut.
