The actor Kangana Ranaut played the role of Rani Laxmibai in her latest film, Manikarnika, and revealed that she had even been offered to Padmaavat by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The role of Rani Padmavati was eventually awarded to Deepika Padukone.
