For actor-comedian Kapil Sharma, letting people split is his "pbadion", his "job" and his enviable talent. So, on World Laugh Day, we thought it would be appropriate to introduce the artist who makes people laugh. During this interview, he made us crack with his signature humor. He told us that he had wanted to be a cop or a singer, if not an actor. Excerpts:
How do you feel able to spread smiles and make millions of people laugh with your wits and humor?
I feel blessed and lucky. My pbadion is my job and I am grateful for that. The instant response you get from people is excellent and I am extremely overwhelmed by the love the audience gives me.
You have remained relevant and popular for so many years. What is the driving force?
My engine is my audience. the mere fact of seeing them laugh gives me immense pleasure. Even when I was paused for a year, the love that I had (on my return) was immense, my audience even welcomed me with open arms. Obviously, without my mother's blessing, nothing would have been possible, she's my strength.
Has Kapil Sharma, the comedian, changed after the wedding?
I have not changed after the wedding (December 2018), the only change is: earlier, I was making jokes about marriage as a stranger, but now I know the reality (laughs) ), so the jokes are more real, more authentic.

Does your wife, Ginni Chatrath, have a great sense of humor?
Yes. Even when I met her for the first time in college, I saw that her comic timing on stage was very good. She is my critic. She is also my biggest fan and laughs on almost all my jokes.
Which celebrity was the most sporting guest on your show ?
All my guests were very positive and fun, but I adore a person, Dharam Paaji (actor Dharmendra). When my series started, no one really wanted to be part of it, but it came into my series and it sparked a lot of love and recognition.
Who is this actor-actor of yesteryear that you like? ?
Mehmood sir. His comic timing was impeccable and was good with emotional scenes too. In fact, Salman Bhai (the actor Salman Khan) has told me that I would be a very good choice for Sir Mehmood's biopic. It's a huge compliment. I also love Govinda a lot, his comic timing is superb and his style is very natural.
A comic film you would have liked to make …
Bade Miyan Chote Miya (1998) and Andaz Apna Apna (1994).
