TV star Kapil Sharma opened up on his fight against alcoholism and on what helped him give up this habit. Kapil was at the Drug Free India party in Chandigarh on February 18th, where he talked about his own experiences.

"Kapil explained how much he had been consumed by the bottle. He remembered seeing his mother collapse. That's when he decided to give up this habit, "said a source at DNA. Kapil had been unemployed for almost a year when his show, The Kapil Sharma Show, was canceled in September 2017, after apparently being absent for shooting sessions.

Actor Sanjay Dutt was also present at this event. His biopic daily, Sanju, also reported on his addiction trials. "I appeal to everyone to join this important movement and save the future of our youth," he said at the event.
