Kartik Aaryan on Luka Chuppi: Some people were waiting to see me fall on my face

Taking advantage of the success of his latest film Luka Chuppi Kartik Aaryan is aware that he must now pay more attention to his choices in the film industry.

Here he talks about cinema, his aspirations and the only actor whose filmography he wants.

From Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety (SKTKS) to Luka Chuppi, how would you describe your journey up to now?

How were you sure of Luka Chuppi's success?
Luka Chuppi offered an excellent mix of commercial content and sensibilities, which I really liked very much. Guddu was such an innocent, adorable and dilwala character that I knew he would make a place for himself in the public's heart. Now, when you come back on your journey from Pyaar Ka Punchnama, how do you feel about the struggle you've gone through?
My past has been filled with ups and downs. It was a difficult trip. It took me seven years to get here. But fortunately, I have never lost concentration or patience and have continued to work hard to achieve my goal. Today, the result is in front of everyone. I'm happy with my gift. But I know that from now on it will be more difficult because I have certain expectations to fulfill. I have to work harder now and pay more attention to my choices.

Who is the director you would like to work with?
Sanjay Leela Bhansali is one of the filmmakers with whom I die of dying to work with. It's someone whose work has always inspired me. If there is a movie with two heroes, I would very much like Ranbir Kapoor to be my co-star. This is an incredible actor and the choice of his films makes me envy.

Is Ranbir a model?
I would say that every actor that I grew up looked at from Mr. Amitabh Bachchan to Ranbir and Ranveer are my role models. And I hope that someday a newly arrived actor will see me as a model.

Who do you see – Ananya Panday or Sara Ali Khan?
