Tonight's episode begins with Anurag noticing Komolika's wickedness. He decides to take care of Komolika alone while making sure that Prerna is not at home. He thinks the best way to get rid of Prerna to his advantage would be to behave horribly. Anurag goes down and asks Komolika and Mishka to return to Mohini. While Anurag confronts Prerna and tries to make sense of it, she refuses to listen to it. Mohini informs Komolika that no matter what Prerna says, she will not be the daughter-in-law of the house. Mohini then adds that she asked Veena to come because she's going to take Prerna and get her out of the house.
Komolika is impressed by Mohini's move. Veena arrives and drags Prerna, as speculated. She tells Prerna not to stay with Anurag because he does not like it anyway. Mohini and the others go out into the room to watch and enjoy the show. Mohini has once again blamed Prerna. Veena blames Prerna for Mohini's words. However, she then notices the sindoor and all and realizes that Prerna is married to Anurag. Prerna then told him the whole truth.
Instead of supporting Mohini, Veena stands with Prerna to the surprise of all. Mohini calls Veena shamelessly to believe in Prerna. Veena returns it to her by telling her that she should at all times respect the institution of marriage. Prerna is pleased with her mother's support and tells her that she decides to avenge Anurag for playing with her emotions like that. Veena announces her departure and Anupam follows her. Mohini then threatens to call the cops on Prerna.
However, to everyone's surprise, instead of worrying for herself, Prerna tells Mohini that she's going to commit the act herself. With that, Prerna calls the cops and tells them that she is Anurag's wife who is harbaded by her mother-in-law. Prerna then asks the cops to come to Basu Manor. She asks the address to Mohini, who quickly cuts the call. Prerna then tells her that she's done her research very well and knows what cards can and should be played.
