The Duchess of Cambridge was present to celebrate the baptism of baby Archie with Meghan Markle and Prince Harry during the weekend.

Kate Middleton posed with the couple on an official family photo after the ceremony and some eagle-eyed fans noticed a special tribute to her outfit.

The Duchess opted for a pink outfit, pairing Stella Bow McCartney Dress with matching heels and vintage headband. But it's his earrings that really stood out.

Middleton wore pearl and diamond earrings that previously belonged to the late Princess Diana. However, they had special significance on Archie's baptism day, as Diana wore them for Prince Harry's baptism in 1984.

The sisters of Princess Diana, Lady Jane Fellowes, and Lady Sarah McCorquodale were included in the official photos of the baptism.

This is not the first time Middleton has paid homage to his late mother-in-law.

Not only was the Duchess often photographed echoing many of the Royal Brand's looks, but she also included Diana in the garden that she designed for the Chelsea Flower Show in May.

In a photo of Middleton smiling on the garden swing, there is an oversight -nots in the background – Diana's favorite flowers.

The flowers were planted in the Kensington Palace gardens in 2017, as a tribute to the 20th anniversary of Diana's death in 1997.

Since Middleton designed the garden itself, it is likely that Duchess chose these flowers as a thoughtful nod to the deceased princess.
