Actor Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt's Gully Boy impressed not only critics but also their Bollywood colleagues. Actress Katrina Kaif recently attended the screening of the film despite injuries. Ali Abbas Zafar, her director from Bharat, accompanied her while she was walking with the help of a cane.
Dressed simply for a floral kurta, the actor was all smiles at the screening.
Gully Boy recorded a magnificent crore opening of 19.40 rupees at the national box office. Directed by Zoya Akhtar, the film was enthusiastically received at the Berlin International Film Festival.
He presents hip-hop culture in Mumbai and is primarily inspired by the lives of rappers Divine and Naezy.
Ranveer plays in the film an aspiring rapper named Murad, who fights against all odds to realize his dream.
Alia plays her possessive girlfriend, who aspires to become a surgeon.
Katrina also attended the wedding reception of Ranveer and Deepika Padukone in Mumbai. She also has good relations with Alia, who is currently dating her ex-boyfriend, Ranbir Kapoor.

Katrina is currently working on her upcoming film Bharat, in which Salman Khan plays the lead role. The teaser of the film provoked a positive reaction although he showed little about the actor. The makers have not yet revealed his full look in the film. She was last seen in Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma-starrer Zero, as well as Aamir Khan and Amitabh Bachchan's Hindoos. Both were among the biggest releases of 2018 but failed to perform at the box office.
Gully Boy is Alia's first opus and Ranveer's second opus after his latest film, Simmba, which opened at a crore of 20 Rs.
