Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom get engaged

Singer Katy Perry and actor Orlando Bloom got engaged the day of Valentine's Day and on several international websites like E! News and CNN reported. On Friday, the couple's posts on Instagram explained that they got engaged and that congratulatory messages began to arrive quickly. They shared a similar article on their respective accounts and Katy labeled it as "Full Bloom" while Orlando was writing "Lifetimes". The photo shows a close up of Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom and shows a diamond shaped flower ring with a pink stone in the center. They are surrounded by heart-shaped balloons. E! According to reports, Orlando would have proposed to Katy after their Valentine's dinner. "The proposal was a total surprise – they discussed the possibility of getting engaged but Katy did not think it would happen so soon – Orlando proposed to Katy in private just the two after their celebration of Valentine's Day dinner." E! News quoted a source. The report also states that Orlando had already planned a surprise party for Katy by inviting some of his close friends to a private apartment in Los Angeles.

Katy Perry, 34, and Orlando Bloom, 42, started dating in 2016 after meeting at Golden Globes after the party. However, they broke off briefly in 2018.

This would be a second marriage for both. Katy was previously married to British comedian Russell Brand and Orlando model Miranda Kerr, with whom he has a son named Christopher Flynn.
