Directed by Anurag Singh, Kesari presents Akshay in Havildar Ishar Singh, at the head of the 36th Sikh Regiment of the British Indian Army in the Battle of Saragarhi. 1897. The film tells the powerful story of 21 Sikh soldiers fighting valiantly against 10,000 Afghan soldiers. Parineeti Chopra was the guest of Havildar's wife Ishar Singh.
