New Delhi: The "Kesari" of Akshay Kumar was screened on Holi's screen this year and sent cash registers ringing from day one. The film also stars Parineeti Chopra and was a box office success. In hitting 100 crores of rupee in just one week, the film became the highest of 2019.
Despite new releases this week, "Kesari" continues to dominate the box office.
Notable critic of film and commerce Taran Adarsh, badyst, has consulted Twitter to share the latest collections of the film. The film is based on the Battle of Saragarhi in which 21 Sikh soldiers fought bravely against 10,000 Afghans. This is a tribute to the value of the Sikh soldiers martyred during the Battle of Saragarhi, which took place in 1897.
Akshay plays Havildar Ishar Singh's lead role in the film.
It was written by Girish Kohli and Anurag Singh and produced by Dharma Productions of Karan Johar.
