Kesari trailer: Akshay Kumar & Co. go to war in the drama of the time

After the glimpses of Kesari, the makers of Akshay Kumar st. released the trailer of the drama of the period. The film is based on the Battle of Saragarhi, where 21 Sikh soldiers fought Afghan invaders in September 1897.

In the trailer, Havildar Ishar Singh, aka Akshay Kumar, leader of the Sikh Regiment, begins by saying, " A British man once said to me, I am a slave and only cowards are born in India. Today, it is the day to give him an answer. "And, soon, we see Afghan soldiers rushing en mbade, and he is ready to confront them.

Kesari's trailer leaves us wanting to know how 21 brave men fought the Afghans to protect their lands from invasion. Finally, Kumar seems convincing as the leader of these 21 Sikh soldiers.

The official description of the film reads: "Kesari is a true and incredible story based on the battle from Saragarhi, 1891. It is presented as one of the most violent battles ever fought, 21 brave sikhs fought 10,000 invaders. These warriors dressed in saffron fought valiantly against all odds and changed the direction of bravery. This Holi, celebrate the spirit of courage and sacrifice with Kesari.

Produced by Dharma Productions by Karan Johar and directed by Punjabi film director Anurag Singh (Super Singh, Punjab 1984), it will be screened on March 21, 2019.
