Spacey's lawyers escalated their attacks against the credibility of the man who had laid the charges. In motions filed Friday, Jackson accused the man of removing text messages that corroborated Spacey's innocence charges. The prosecutor's lawyer declined to comment on Friday.
Prosecutors deny hiding anything in the defense or falsely claiming that they were not in possession of this man's cell phone. Prosecutors said they had already agreed to provide the defense with a copy of the information downloaded from the accuser's phone, but Spacey's lawyers said that was not enough.
