Kuch Famous Rank Erica Fernandes for the announcement of Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2

Erica Fernandes has been away from the small screen since her last show Kuch Rang Pyaar Ke Aise Bhi left the air. However, the good news is that the actress will return to the TV soon with the remake of the iconic Kasautii Zindagii Kay television show that will make a comeback after 18 years. She will take over the role of Prerna, played by Shweta Tiwari in the original series.

According to a report from Mumbai Mirror, Erica came on board a while ago and should soon shoot a video for the announcement. The show will air in August on the same channel as the one broadcast earlier and work on the creation of the big ensembles for the show has begun.

Kasautii Zindagii Kay was the wise lover of Prerna and Anurag, played by Shweta Tiwari and Cezanne Khan respectively. Recently, producer Ekta Kapoor made an announcement on Twitter about the return of KZK2.

The first season of the show lasted 8 years from 2001 to 2008 and featured Shweta Tiwari, Ronit Roy, Cezanne Khan, and Urvashi Dholakia in lead roles. The show was a huge success and actors like Shweta Tiwari, Cezenne Khan and Urvashi Dholakia became night stars. Meanwhile, Erica debuted with Kuch Rang Pyaar Ke Aise Bhi in 2016. The show was hailed for her performances and chemistry between lead pair Shaheer Sheikh and Erica. After a successful run, the show was retired in August 2017 to host other shows. However, he soon returned in a month due to public demand.
