Ram Gopal Varma has announced a new release date for his controversial film "Lakshmi's NTR" which faces problems with its political content. The film has yet to be approved by the Censor Board, but RGV has set a new release date – March 29. The film has been postponed several times.
Telugu Desam Party members sued the film and urged the Election Commission of India. to stop its broadcast during the electoral period, the film projecting the party leader, Nara Chandrababu Naidu, as the villain of the life of the NT Rama Rao, which would spoil the prospects of the party and favor the opposition. It's Naidu who stabbed his father-in-law and organized a coup in 1995 to take him to power. "Lakshmi's NTR" presents these incidents as they occurred.
The political film is played by Yagna Shetty as Lakshmi Parvathi. It is made by RGV and Agasthya.
