Last opening season on April 14th. Are you ready?

Here's good news for all "Game of Thrones" (GoT) viewers. The eighth and final season of this world-renowned series is scheduled to air on April 14, 2019 on HBO. Over the years, GoT has not only been the favorite of television series, but hypnotized viewers by its characterization, filmography and not to mention special effects (FX).

More than 30 million viewers watched the previous or the seventh season of GoT worldwide, making it the most-watched television series.

The last season should reunite everyone, including characters who have not seen each other since the first episode, to fight the king of the night, warlord of the underworld with his dead army of one power of more than one lakh.

GoT was shot primarily at Paint Hall Studios in Belfast, Northern Ireland. Outdoor scenes from Northern Ireland were shot at Sandy Brae, Morne Mountains (replacing Vaes Dothrak), Castle Ward (Winterfell), Winterfell Godswood (Saintfield Estates), Tollymore Forest (outdoor scenes), in Cairncastle (execution site), Magheramorne Quarry (Black Castle) and Shane Castle (Tournament Field). Not only is FX, the stunts of the entire GoT series (so far) have stunned viewers and many of them have become epic moments. For the following season, Pixomondo, based in Germany, became the leading producer of visual effects with an appropriate stage production from Peanut FX, based in the UK, of Spin VFX, based in Canada, and Gradient Effects, based in the United States. For the fourth season, HBO added the German company Mackevision to the project, which collaborated with the Canadian company Rodeo FX, the German company Scanline VFX and the American company BAKED FX.

While all viewers were fascinated by the beautiful images of teenage dragons during the fourth season, the effects were actually largely based on a chicken!

Fifth season, HBO added Image Engine, Canada, and Crazy Horse Effects, in the US, to its list of leading visual effects producers.

Over the years, Game of Thrones has received 47 Primetime Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Drama Series in 2015, 2016 and 2018, more than any other primetime scripted TV series. His other awards and nominations include three Hugo Awards for Best Drama Presentation (2012-2014), a 2011 Peabody Award and five Golden Globe Award nominations for Best Dramatic TV Series (2012 and 2015-2018).

Even actors such as Peter Dinklage have won three Primetime Emmy Awards for supporting roles in a drama series (2011, 2015 and 2018) and the Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Movie (2012) for his performance as Tyrion Lannister in GoT. Others, such as Lena Headey, Emilia Clarke, Harington Kit, Maisie Williams, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Diana Rigg and Max von Sydow have also received nominations for the Primetime Emmy Awards for their performances.

With so much effort in producing this fantastic epic, nothing surprising that GoT is one of the most hacked TV series. According to the TorrentFreak file sharing news site, Game of Thrones is the most hacked television series since 2012, six years in a row. In 2015, Guinness World Records called Game of Thrones the most pirated television program.

Over the years and seven seasons, more and more viewers around the world have watched Game of Thrones. For the first season, the average number of viewers was 2.5 million. That climbed to 11.6 million, and 14.2 million in second and third season. For the fourth season, the average gross audience was 18.4 million euros, surpbading the record created by 'The Sopranos'. The fifth and sixth seasons of GoT had an average audience of more than 25 million per episode. The seventh season saw this number reach more than 30 million, says a Wikipedia record.
