The Left Front on Friday announced a "partial list" of 25 Lok Sabha candidates in Bengal, leaving the door open for further negotiations with the Congress on the sharing of seats.

After a meeting of left-wing partners, Front's president Biman Bose issued a statement containing the 25 names, their constituencies and the possibility of friendly competitions with Congress.

The Forward Bloc, the RSP and the CPI will compete for their nine traditional seats. "The Front's partners were getting 10 seats, but this time, the RSP agreed not to nominate a Behrampore candidate to honor the split of seats with Congress, which will align Adhir Chowdhury," said a source.
