King Kong Bundy who fought for the WWE during his highly popular 1980s, died yesterday at the age of 61. WWE has confirmed this news in an article published on its website.
Bundy has never held a WWE Championship, although he has won the AWA World Heavyweight title and the NWA Tag Team Championship, among various territorial titles of his career. Bundy fought for the WWF from 1986-1988, then from 1994-1996, wrestling Hulk Hogan in a steel cage for the main event of WrestleMania II . In fact, Bundy brutalized Hogan after being ingested in Saturday Night's main event match with Don Muraco's match in the run-up to the match of WrestleMania wounding Hogan's ribs by swallowing him repeatedly, it's my first remembrance of struggle, forever etched in my memory. Beginner in 1981, the New Jersey native retired from active struggle in 2007, although he continued to make appearances conventions and other events.
