Elton John and Bernie Taupin wrote a new song for Rocketman's upcoming biopic titled "Love Me Again". You can hear the title, a duet between John and the star of the movie, Taron Egerton below.
Co-production of Giles Martin and Greg Kurstin, "Love Me Again" plays on the closing credits of the film. The song finds John revisiting his Motown roots, with a production of kitchen sinks, a horned riff and a rhythmic rhythm straight out of by Stevie Wonder of "Uptight (Tout va bien)" [

The new song is the only moment on the soundtrack where John's song is heard. Egerton sings most of the songs himself, as he does on the first single of the album "Rocket Man". Other members of the cast join where appropriate in the film's scenario.
John insists that Egerton sings himself because he believes that this is essential to the overall performance of the actor. "It was so important that the music I composed and recorded was to be sung by Taron," said John. "I wanted his interpretation of me, through Bernie's lyrics and my music – not just to play."
John noted that he had "left Taron in the hands of Giles Martin, whom I implicitly trusted because he was brilliant."
